UNconference hits the BRONX
Coming Spring 2012
NOW is the time for activists, organizers, and community members to join in solidarity to dismantle capitalism, and the systems of oppression it nourishes. LET’S COME TOGETHER!
Please join RISE Collective for a gathering of activists, community members, and organizations in the Bronx to build community, share visions for a liberated world and the tools to make it happen.
What is the Bronx UNconference?
RISE is hosting an UNconference. It is not a conference or a workshop, there are no experts, and no pre-set agenda. The UNconference is a model for convening that provides open space where the collective community is the expert and sets the agenda. The space will provide an opportunity for folks in the Bronx who are working towards liberation to connect with new people, new ideas, and an emerging movement of social justice activists.
RISE Collective will do the legwork to get everyone in the same room, so that we can push forward social change grounded in community, love, and the need for transformation …but we can’t do it without you!
We are still looking to secure a space. If you or anyone in your organization has access to space large enough to hold 150 people, please email events@riseconference.org.
