just stumbled across your site, via radical socail work, as an oppurtunity to work in the hopes and dreams of those who came before us and those in the trenches now, for a just and civil planet for all!!! A radical citizenship is needed to bring about the changes we desire for those in control are addicted to wealth like a junky is drugs…their greed must not stand in the way of our greed!! La Lotto Continua! Peace and Love.

I am really excited about coming to this conference. My student group, La Milpa: Interest Group of the Americas, at Virginia Commonwealth University brings speakers from Central America & Caribean to raise awareness of human rights and oppression. Topics have included human trafficking, femicide/violence against women, post-war family reunification, and rebuilding after disaster. And most of our member are social work students!

PLEASE post detailed information about the workshops and panels. I am talking it up with others in the SSW and would like to be able to get more specific.

Kate Barrow - September 29, 2010

You can read the full workshop descriptions here: http://riseconference.org/conference/workshop-descriptions/

Registration will be closing on Saturday, and we expect to sell out before then. If you or anyone in your group would like to attend I would recommend registering ASAP. There will be NO door sales for the conference.

It would be great to meet you at RISE!

I absolutely love your blog and find most of your post’s to be just what I’m looking for. can you offer guest writers to write content for you personally? I wouldn’t mind composing a post or elaborating on most of the subjects you write regarding here. Again, awesome site!
